Alibaba Wan 3.0 Turns Boring PDF and Excel Files Into 30-Second AI Videos
Corporate presentations were already a slow form of torture, but Chinese tech giant Alibaba just found a way to render them in full motion with quarterly financial reports turned into cinematic blockbusters that nobody asked for.
The public beta for Wan 3.0 is now live, expanding Alibaba's AI video generation model beyond basic text prompts into the territory of office boredom. Instead of relying solely on written descriptions or uploaded images, the system ingests raw office documents like DOC, XLS, PPT, and PDF files to generate fully animated, voiced 30-second clips.
While Western AI models focus on generating realistic movie scenes, this model targets corporate automation for onboarding, marketing, and internal documentation. Alibaba has already wired the tech directly into its desktop software ecosystem across China, giving middle management an unprecedented tool to turn spreadsheets into unwanted short films.
Global developers can access the service via the QwenCloud API, which breaks away from standard token counting in favor of per-second video billing. Pricing starts at $0.05 per second for 480p resolution, scaling up to $0.10 for 720p and $0.20 for 1080p output.
Unlike previous releases under the Qwen umbrella, model weights remain closed behind Alibaba's cloud infrastructure with no announced timeline for open-source availability.
Middle managers across the globe now have a brand new weapon to turn dry quarterlies into shiny visual slop that still fails to explain why profits dropped.
