Apple Bans Russian MAX App, Prompting Wild Claims of iPhone Death

The trouble began when Apple quietly purged the MAX messenger app from the App Store, leaving millions of users without instant notifications. Because of the ban, the American tech giant revoked the app's push notification token, meaning messages only appear if users manually open the app like it is 2008. The support team's official solution was literally to suggest opening the app more frequently.

This digital roadblock triggered immediate fury from Rostelecom chief Mikhail Oseevsky, who openly labeled Apple as "enemies" during a business forum. Meanwhile, the Russian Minister of Digital Development, Maksut Shadaev, admitted that twenty million citizens suddenly lost easy access to the service. While acknowledging that Apple provided zero warnings or explanations for the sudden ban, the minister vaguely promised that everything would be fine and that his department is totally on top of resolving the situation.

Watching bureaucrats try to spin a devastating app ban into a glorious victory for a local operating system almost nobody actually uses is a masterclass in coping.
