OpenAI is teaching its chatbot to study your personal correspondence like a stalker to perfectly mimic your writing style across your favorite apps. Finally, a digital twin that can handle your passive-aggressive Slack messages while you sleep.

The new feature allows ChatGPT to hook directly into third-party services like Slack, Google Drive, Notion, and Gmail. Instead of forcing users to feed the model examples of their prose, the system autonomously scrapes existing content from these connected apps to build a stylistic profile of the user.

This automated imitation aims to bypass the tedious ritual of constant prompt engineering and context-setting. While Anthropic previously introduced a similar concept with their Claude 'Styles' feature, that method required manual uploads of writing samples. OpenAI is opting for a more invasive integration, essentially treating the user's entire digital history as a training playground to ensure the bot sounds just like its human host.
