Scientists at the University of Sydney are turning our dinner plates into time machines. A new study suggests that tweaking your macros might shave years off your biological clock in just four weeks—because apparently, biology is now as hackable as a spreadsheet.

Each group kept protein intake steady at 14% of their energy, but swapped fat and carbohydrate ratios or plant-versus-animal protein sources.
The results showed that participants on an omnivorous, high-carb diet saw a statistically significant drop in their biological age compared to those sticking to their usual high-fat habits. Meanwhile, semi-vegetarian diets showed some promise but failed to consistently beat the clock across different versions of the metric. The researchers admit that while the numbers shifted, this isn't exactly finding the Fountain of Youth; it’s more like a temporary physiological shrug in response to better fuel.
Ultimately, this is a reminder that the human body is just an extremely expensive, stubborn machine that occasionally responds to a firmware update. Whether these changes are a genuine biological reversal or just a fancy way of saying the blood chemistry looks better because the junk food stopped is still the million-dollar question.
