The creators of the world's favorite pocket hacking tool Flipper Zero want to solve global data connection headaches for hardware geeks, leaving phone carriers completely out of the loop.
The development team behind Flipper Devices Inc., led by founder Pavel Zhovner, revealed plans to integrate a specialized global eSIM directly into the upcoming Flipper One cyberdeck. Built around an ARM processor with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.2 storage running Linux, the device features an internal M.2 modem setup connected directly to the embedded eSIM chip.
Instead of battling overpriced international cellular tariffs, the proposed service aims to provide a flat-rate $50 annual subscription. The network plan includes non-expiring service valid for up to five years, capped at an always-on emergency background speed of 200 kbps worldwide. Users requiring heavy bandwidth can purchase temporary speed boosters through a dedicated management web panel, treating high-speed data like an optional luxury rather than a daily necessity.
Because traditional telecom providers love identity paperwork, the team decided against assigning phone numbers, completely bypassing mandatory regulatory identity verification requirements. Instead, the card focuses purely on raw data tricks, featuring an operator-side firewall to pin traffic strictly to a personal VPN server, alongside reverse proxy capabilities for direct SSH access without purchasing a static public IP address.
