Gosuslugi Adds Red and Green Anti-Fraud Buttons Linked to Anti-Fraud System

Original version ·

Russia's state services portal is adding red and green panic buttons to report suspected scams and instantly notify banks, telecom operators, and law enforcement.

Emergency alert tools against potential fraud are slated to appear on the Gosuslugi portal soon, according to materials prepared for the Digital Solutions forum. The service will be implemented as two distinct buttons: red and green.

The red button allows users to transmit a suspected fraud signal directly to major banks, telecom operators, and law enforcement agencies connected to the Anti-Fraud state system. This automatic alert is designed to let connected organizations swiftly check suspicious transactions, block transfers and payments, or restrict calls to a specific phone number.

The green button serves as a reversal mechanism to cancel the red alert and lift restrictions imposed by participants of the Anti-Fraud network.
