Nvidia raises GPU prices across all GDDR6 and GDDR7 graphics cards
Just when PC builders thought prices couldn't climb any higher, Nvidia found another excuse to squeeze its manufacturing partners and buyers alike.
Board partners receiving official notifications from Nvidia have been informed of immediate cost increases on complete GPU Kits, which combine core processors with microchips. The price adjustments extend far beyond flagship hardware, hitting every active graphics card model using both GDDR6 and next-gen GDDR7 memory standards.
Manufacturing partners are absorbing additional hits from rising costs in custom cooling solutions, printed circuit boards, and packaging. However, expensive memory modules remain the primary culprit draining hardware budgets, making copper heat pipes look like cheap stocking stuffers by comparison.
The pricing squeeze has already forced Nvidia to indefinitely delay the launch of its rumored GeForce RTX 50 Super lineup. Single 3GB GDDR7 memory modules now command wholesale prices between $60 and $70 each, compared to standard 2GB variants that sell for approximately $20.
