Perplexity CEO: "Knowledge Worker" is Just a Microsoft Sales Scam

During a massive podcast chat with Joe Rogan, the head of Perplexity, Aravind Srinivas, declared that the legendary office job is actually an artificial construct engineered by Microsoft. Instead of some natural evolutionary leap in human employment, the entire concept of the "knowledge worker" was popularized simply to move software licenses.

The mastermind behind this was Bill Gates with his famous crusade to put a computer on every desk. While this sounded like a noble quest to democratize technology, it was secretly a brilliant plot to turn everyone into unpaid data-entry clerks who must learn word processors and spreadsheets just to survive.

The only skill that actually matters now is asking deep, original questions, which forces schools to stop treating students like glorified search engines. Meanwhile, search engines themselves are being cannibalized, with giants like OpenAI and Google shamelessly copying web-crawling ideas from smaller startups.

Decades of typing formulas into cells only to realize the entire profession was a clever plot to boost Redmond's quarterly earnings. Now, humanity faces a hilarious twist: having to learn how to think again, just as machines are getting incredibly good at doing it for them.
