Rockstar Games has reached a new peak of corporate confidence, dropping a $400 collector's set for Grand Theft Auto VI that skips the actual game. Because apparently, fans will pay a premium just to own a plastic alligator and a branded bar spoon.
The Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State — Vice City Collection launches on November 19, 2026, the same day GTA VI hits PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Inside the box, fans will find a 15cm Mack the Alligator figurine that doubles as a storage container, Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with Prizm lenses, and a New Era 9FORTY hat. The list of high-value desk clutter continues with a magnetic mirror, a bar spoon, a razor-blade keychain, a Leonida-Kiss shoulder bag, a shot glass featuring Chunky the Manatee, and a collection of enamel pins.
Despite the steep price tag, the digital game code or physical disc is nowhere to be found in the package. The selection of items is heavily inspired by the in-game show Mack the Alligator, which has been teased in various promotional assets and trailers leading up to the release. Rockstar has also remained suspiciously silent regarding the availability of a physical disc version of the game itself, leaving players to wonder if they are paying for high-end shelf dusters while the software remains an intangible mystery.
Paying hundreds of dollars for a collection of plastic trinkets and kitchenware while being denied the actual product shows exactly how much the industry has mastered the art of selling air.
