Under these exact parameters, Tesla logged 207 driver-assist crashes in May 2026, surpassing its entire annual total of 157 incidents from 2021.

The overall incident frequency has been climbing steadily alongside growing vehicle deliveries. After surpassing 1,000 annual crashes for the first time in 2025 with 1,043 cases, the first six months of 2026 recorded 826 crashes.
