Chief Technology Officer Sandhya Arun clarified that this transition is rarely a neat one-to-one pink slip scenario. A single software engineer is now expected to supervise swarms of automated agents across unrelated customer pipelines, making basic software maintenance tickets finish themselves overnight.
Rival giant TCS is already slowing down external hiring to hit an exact 1:1 parity between biological humans and algorithmic bots. To smooth over client panic, TCS is rolling out a specialized vanguard of 8,900 forward-deployed engineers, Infosys is prepping 6,000 of them, and Wipro is scaling its own deployment squads to match the competition without disclosing a final target number.
Corporate leadership has finally found the corporate holy grail where infinite efficiency spikes mysteriously avoid being labeled as mass layoffs.
